Group Weight Loss Program

The Zizania group weight loss program is like no other.  Like everything we do, it is in-depth, with the attention to detail and particular consideration to each person's condition.  Participants in our weight loss groups are from all walks of life.  Some people just want to lose weight and feel more energetic.  A few of them have conditions such as arthritis, diabetes, auto-immune disease, food allergies, and digestive problems.

Regardless of the reason you want to join our weight loss program, you will get a sound education on health, food, and the importance of every day good nutrition.  Because we do not sell any product, the advice we provide is beneficial to everyone.  For instance, a person who has an auto-immune disease and one that has a hormonal imbalance can both benefit from a low fat diet composed of whole grains, fresh fruit, lot of dark leafy greens, and foods rich in essential fatty acid.  For the person who has a hormonal imbalance, we would advise a lot of raw fruits and vegetables, preferably organic.   Both parties should avoid processed foods, fast foods, dairy products containing hormones.  Then based on the information provided by the participant, we will offer guidance that best fit their needs. When it comes to weight loss, it is never a One-Size-Fits-All approach, even when the desired outcome is the same.

Below is our January schedule.  We hold these events quarterly.  Go to the contact page to register: it is a decision that will change your life.

  • January: Weight loss
  • April: Spring Detox
  • September: Prepare for the holiday season
  • COST: $200

Program agenda

There are 6 to 10 sessions in the program, depending on the season and topic.  Each session starts with a discussion where each participant shares her status, obstacles, and success. We don't weigh anyone but we do expect participants to share how much weight they lost each week.  After the discussion, a presentation on a specific topic is given by Dominique, followed by questions and answers. Participants receive new recipes at each meeting.

The meeting duration is 1 hour and 30 minutes but may go over if participants have more questions.
